Even Now // Especially Now is a celebration of collaboration and creativity. Seven musicians, living all around the country, began this album in April 2020 following a strict set of guidelines.
Here’s how it worked: Imagine seven people standing in a circle. On day one, each person simultaneously starts a song, recording the first layer. Every two days, the song is passed to the next musician in the circle, and a new layer is recorded. Musicians are not allowed to give any musical direction to each other. After two weeks, when every musician has played on every song, tracking is finished. Each musician then mixes the song they started.
