I love this tape deatly. I cam across it by sheer chance and new it was gonna fuck me up when i read the note on the inside of the cassete. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Cody John Laplante was one of my closest friends.
We had been working on this tape for years. We were so close to finishing it. We'd try and get together at his cabin on the Merrimack River for a weekend each summer. We wrote some of these songs there.
Sometimes he would be living in France or Argentina or somewhere and he would email me a track. Just him singing and playing drums on his body. I was supposed to figure out the music.
The last time I saw him, he read some of these poems for me. The music came after.
It was all going to be this album, but I finished it without him.
Cody died of a heroin overdose on April 8, 2015.
I love you and miss you.
